What makes Runway 1331 different from a regular hostel?
Runway 1331 is a creative community hub first. Beyond accommodation, residents get access to arts studios, music rooms, sports facilities, cultural programs, and a community of like-minded young people — all on the historic Kai Tak runway site.
Is there an age limit to stay here?
While our programs and facilities are geared towards youth and young professionals, we welcome guests of all ages who share our passion for community, creativity, and connection. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Do you offer private rooms or only dorms?
We offer a mix of both! You can choose from private Studios (Single or Double), Deluxe Twin rooms, or shared 4-bed and 6-bed dormitories depending on your budget and preference.
Are the creative facilities free to use for guests?
Many common areas and co-working spaces are free for all guests. Specialized facilities like the music studio and maker spaces may require advance booking and a small maintenance fee or deposit.
Booking & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Alipay, WeChat Pay, and Octopus. Cash payments are also accepted at the front desk.
What is your cancellation policy?
For standard short-term bookings, you can cancel up to 48 hours before your check-in date for a full refund. Group bookings and long-term residencies have different terms which will be outlined in your contract.
Can I book out the entire floor for a group?
Yes! We frequently host university groups, sports teams, and corporate retreats. Please visit our Meetings page and fill out an inquiry form for group rates and arrangements.
Community Programs
How do I join community events?
Most events are open to all current guests and can be joined by signing up at the front desk or via our community board. Some workshops may have limited spots and require pre-registration.
Can I host my own event at Runway 1331?
Absolutely. We encourage residents to share their skills. Pitch your idea to our Community Manager, and if it aligns with our values, we can provide the space and help you promote it.
Are non-residents allowed to attend events?
Yes, select events like our weekend markets and rooftop sessions are open to the public. However, some specialized workshops and daily community dinners are exclusive to residents.
Long-term Residency
What counts as a long-term residency?
Any stay of 28 consecutive days or more is considered a long-term residency and qualifies for our special monthly rates and extended community benefits.
Are utilities included in long-term stays?
Yes, all utilities including high-speed WiFi, electricity, water, and weekly housekeeping are included in your monthly rate.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Our rooms come fully furnished to maximize space efficiency. While you can bring small personal items to make the space yours, large furniture cannot be brought in or removed.
Location & Transport
How do I get to Runway 1331 from the airport?
Take the Airport Express to Kowloon Station, then take a taxi directly to us (approx. 20 mins). Alternatively, you can take the MTR to Kai Tak Station and walk or take our shuttle.
Is there parking available?
We do not have dedicated guest parking on-site, but there are several public parking structures nearby at AIRSIDE and Kai Tak Sports Park.
How far is the nearest MTR station?
Kai Tak MTR Station is about a 5-minute walk from our main entrance, connecting you to the Tuen Ma Line.
